After months of diligent work, including community and staff outreach, surveys, and extensive planning the Kings Facilities CAT Team and Kings Administration presented a final Master Plan to the Kings Board of Education. The comprehensive recommendation included facility upgrades across the district to address current and future enrollment.  Additionally, the plan ensured the recommended projects aligned with the district’s needs and vision.

The Kings Local School District Board of Education approved the plan and voted to place a 5.971 mill bond issue on the March 19, 2024 ballot to address the overcapacity challenges and current and future educational needs in our school buildings. The $142 million bond issue passed 53-47% and will fund a new Kings High School, an addition at Columbia Intermediate School, and improvements to existing buildings.
